The question
A survey was carried out on the household income distribution among a group of potential buyers by a housing developer company. Table 1 shows: Household income (RM) 2000-2999: 150 families; 3000-3999: 208; 4000-4999: 250; 5000-5999: 160; 6000-6999: 143; 7000-7999: 49. The housing developer plans to provide a housing scheme for a medium income group, identified by excluding those in the top 25% and bottom 25% of the distribution. Rose qualifies for the scheme. What is the range of Rose's income? [Round off your answer to the nearest RM]
